Effie, Greg and Tillman Tompkins
We are the Tompkins family and are happy to make Ernest Myatt our church home. We grew up in Raleigh. Orange runs in Greg’s blood, having graduated from Clemson University and now working at Campbell University. Effie teaches at Aversboro Elementary school. Tillman enjoys Ernest Myatt Preschool. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with God as members of this church.
My name is Sean Chandler. I am 18 years old, born on March 9 1998 in Raleigh North Carolina. I have worked on horse farm and cow farms. Half of my family is from New York the other half from West Virginia. My career choice is to go into the United States Marine Corps hopefully in July of next year. I grew up here in Garner and played baseball and football. And I love to draw. I just recently became a member of my home/church. I was not baptized until March 27, 2016 because my mother wanted it to be my choice of which church or religion I wanted to choose and I am more than happy to say I am now part of the Ernest Myatt P.C. Family.
Ranleigh has been attending Ernest Myatt since he was two-years-old. He is enjoying his first year in high school and plays the trumpet. One of his favorite pastimes is singing; be it in the capella club at school, in the church choir or in the shower. Ranleigh has a great sense of humor and loves to entertain.

Libby Haddon Currence
My name is Libby Haddon Currence and I recently had the privilege of becoming a member of Ernest Myatt Presbyterian Church. I taught English and British literature on a college level for 27 years, a profession I enjoyed immensely. However, the crowning achievement/blessing of my life was adopting two children internationally, the oldest from an impoverished province of southern China and the youngest from an underdeveloped mountainous region of Guatemala. They are now 19 and 12 respectively. The 19 year old is severely autistic; nevertheless, a source of unspeakable joy. Indeed they both are. I retired early to have time with them. After searching for many months, I have found a powerful sense of community at Ernest Myatt. The members have welcomed me, supported me, prayed for me, and comforted me through difficult times. I consider myself richly blessed, despite life's hardships. Indeed, "The joy of the Lord is my strength."
Ryan has been attending EMPC since he was 2 years old. He is 14 now, and is finishing up 8th grade at Clayton Middle School. He is so excited to be starting high school next year. Ryan enjoys playing hockey, playing drums and piano, and creating short movies. He is a fan of everything Rocky Balboa!
Claire has always gone to Ernest Myatt. She is a voracious reader and inhales books. Writing her own books is a favorite past-time but she also enjoys music. She plays flute in band at school and sings in the church choir. Claire is also really good at transcribing & transposing music.
Emma is a Sophomore at West Johnston High School. She is a Honors Student, a member of the NHS, plays the Tenor Saxophone for the West Johnston High School Marching Band and is a member of the West Johnston Open Guard. She spends her free time reading or playing in the salt waters of Carteret County.
Carson is currently in 7th grade at McGee's Crossroads Middle School where he is a member of the Junior Beta Club and the McGee's Middle FFA Club. He is a Green Belt at Vic Coffin Karate and a member of Boy Scout Troop 64, serving as the Scribe. He spends his free time designing space rockets and learning how to cook.
Ernest Myatt Presbyterian Church would like to welcome our newest members to our congregation.
